Appearance

Not a super-pretty strain, this one was comprised mostly of bumbly dense round nugs that were covered in an above-average amount of trichs.  It was mostly a darker green with deep red pistils and it had a very professional manicure and a classic look.  What was most impressive about this strain were the massive amounts of ambered trichomes, which were all that could be seen in some instances with the scope.  Unfortunately, with that longer harvest time came some immature seed development, which may have negatively affected the smoking experience and flavor.

Aroma

Not a very pungent aroma, this strain smelled like an odd blend of earthy smells (especially wet leaves and loamy soil) with a strange citrusy fruity bite.  There wasn’t much smell to speak of in the jar/bag, but it blew up a little bit when ground or cut up… it was never a room-filling scent though.

Flavor

Fairly major disagreement on the flavor here… one reviewer really enjoyed it, and the other did not.  But both picked up many of the same earthy qualities as the smell, with the one who didn’t like picking up more on that and the hashy qualities.  The reviewer who enjoyed it picked up more of a citrus taste that reminded him of lime zest.  There may have been any number of reasons for the taste differences, but our guess would be the smoking method, as it was IncrediBowl vs. normal pipe (good flavor through IncrediBowl).  As far as the smoke itself, it was thick and made us cough badly, both from a moderate harshness and possibly due to the lineage, as there was that familiar cough throat tickle.

Effect

(We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY)  General relaxation, mild pain relief, possibly ocular relief, anti-insomnia, big time sleep aid as it wore on.

Overall

This strain left our review staff somewhat perplexed, both because of the different taste experiences, but also because of the dual nature of the high.  About an hour in, it was like something flipped a switch and turned it into a Hashplant, because it pretty much knocked us out and carried a strong body high with an undeniable urge to sleep.  A rookie patient might feel that this one is too much, but it would be a solid choice for the majority of MMJ patients.  It had a pretty direct purpose in the end, and that was relaxation and aiding sleep – so if that’s primarily what you’re looking for, definitely give this strain a try.
